Perimeter sealant is the first thing to fail on a facade and the last thing anyone inspects. Once silicone perishes, water tracks behind the glazing line and shows up inside as staining, swollen plasterboard and mould — usually several floors below the actual defect. We cut out failed sealant and reinstate it properly, working on rope so there is no scaffold and no disruption to residents.
